Bit by bit it's coming together... And it has become clear that no matter how quick and small the tear-down of the motor is supposed to be, fucking clean it up before doing anything... My excuse was that it was in the middle of the winter in my all too cluttered old garage AND it was supposed to be just a simple take out and put back in after the frame mods... Then I got the idea to check if the oil pump breather was timed right... ;)
